Arsenal have been touted to win the Premier League title this year over rivals Manchester City, this is going to be easier said than done.
City have a notably better squad and the 6-3 thrashing of the Gunners shows they have the talent to dismantle their main rivals.
Here are some other factors as to why Manchester City are set for the title:
1 - Squad depth
Arsenal have lost several key players this season, which can only spell doom for them. Currently they are without Olivier Giroud, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Abou Diaby, Yaya Sonago, Aaron Ramsey, Nickolas Bendtner, Theo Walcott, and Kieran Gibbs.
All of these players are first team players. Arsenal are also notably weak in the defence as they only have three first team centre-backs in Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscienly, and Per Mertesacker. On the other hand, City have three strikers to choose from as well as four central backs - the injuries could be costly for Arsenal in the long run.
2 - Striker reliability
Olivier Giroud, Arsenal's only notable striker has found the net eight times so far. However, he is no match for City's Sergio Aguero who has scored 13 and Alvaro Negredo who has seven goals. The lack of goals will be another problem for current leaders Arsenal.
3 - Other competition
Both of these clubs have had different results against other big six members; Manchester City have managed to beat Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham, while drawing with Chelsea.
Arsenal on the other hand, has suffered defeat at the hands of United, City, Liverpool, though they did manage to beat Tottenham and draw with Chelsea. The Gunners have accumulated four points out of a possible 15, while City took 13 from 15.
