Lampard Too Good For Galaxy - Gerrard

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has praised his international teammate Frank Lampard and insists the midfielder was right to snub a move to the MLS with LA Galaxy.
Lampard is in line to win his 100th England cap against Ukraine on Tuesday and was in sparkling form for Chelsea last season with his future in the balance at the club.
The 35-year-old was the subject of heavy interest from LA Galaxy but chose to stay in the Premier League in the hopes of prolonging his England career, something Gerrard thinks was the correct decision.
He said: "Of course he made the right choice. He was too good for LA Galaxy in my opinion.
"Everyone saw how good he was at the end of last season for Chelsea.
"Of course I would have supported his decision if he had decided to go to LA Galaxy, but for me he still had a lot to offer in the Premier League and certainly for England."
Lampard made his England debut 14 years ago in a 2-1 friendly win over Belgium and has gone on to make 99 appearances for his country, including featuring in four major tournaments.
However throughout his time in the national team it has been said that Lampard cannot play adequately alongside his Liverpool counterpart, something Gerrard thinks is nonsense.
"A lot of people talk about me and Frank being in the same team, but we enjoy playing together," said the England skipper.
