Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has offered to change the name
on the back of his shirt after taking pity on a fan of the Anfield club
who got a tattoo of the Ivory Coast star's name on his foot, but spelled
it wrong.
Said fan had been so impressed by Toure's performances after signing for Brendan Rodgers' side that he felt he needed to show his admiration by getting a tattoo of the star's name. Unfortunately for him, the tattoo artist was not familiar with the correct spelling of the name and inked 'Kolo Touro' on the foot.
It was obviously an embarrassing episode for the self proclaimed Liverpool fanatic, but it only got worse when a friend took to Twitter and posted the picture for all to see.
However, Toure saw the post and obviously felt pity for the fan with this unfortunate predicament and offered to change his name.
Things got better for the unfortunate gentleman, as Toure then offered to meet him and suggested he wear the name 'Touro' on the back of his shirt to try and make things a little easier for fan.
It may be a while before people get to see Toure's kindly gesture, however, as the has been sidelined with a groin injury sustained during Liverpool's Capital One Cup win over Notts County.
