CHAN 2014: Eagles To Know Opponents Sept 18
The drawing of lots for the final tournament of the 2014 African Nations Championship will take place on Thursday, September 18, in Cairo. Sixteen qualified teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each and the seeded teams of each group will be determined by the CHAN Organising Committee on the basis of the ranking of the country.
Nigeria had qualified for the championship for the first time ever, after getting past Ivory Coast on 4-3 goals aggregate.
It was not yet clear whether CAF would grade the Eagles based on their performance in the Nations Cup, or based on their record in the African Nation Championships.
