Smoking Hot Nigerians Lighting Europe



Chelsea continued with their pre-season in the USA on Sunday evening and both Mikel Obi and Victor Moses came on in the second half as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners over AC Milan in the International Champions Cup
Moses started the second half as Chelsea made seven changes to the team that started in the first half and the Nigerian again showed Jose Mourinho that he would be a good player to hold on to.
He was always running at the Milan defence and on one of such runs in the 61st minute, he went past Urby Emanuelson but his shot was high and wide.
Mikel came on for Marco Van Ginkel in the 72nd minute and he showed some neat touches. He also blocked a goal bound shot in the 83rd minute as Milan threatened an equalizer. Chelsea scored their second goal in the 89th minute when Moses pulled the ball back for Andre Schurrle to volley past the Milan goalkeeper.
CHAMPIONSHIP Super Eagles defender, Danny Shittu was on for all 90 minutes as Millwall kicked off the 2013/14 Championship season with a 1-0 home loss to newly promoted Yeovil Town on Saturday. Shittu played 39 league games last season but scored no goals.
But another Nigerian defender, Nedum Onuoha scored for just relegated side, Queens Park Rangers as his team fought back from a goal down to beat Sheffield Wednesday. Onuoha, yet to debut for Nigeria scored the equalizer in the 40th minute and Andy Johnson scored the winner two minutes afterwards.
RUSSIA

Emmanuel Emenike made it three from three as he got the first goal for Spartak Moscow in a 2-2 draw away to Kuban Krasnodar on Sunday. The Nigerian striker, who is in negotiations with Turkish side Fenerbahche for a return to the Super Lig, scored in the 30th minute to give the Spartak the lead. He was substituted in the 75th minute by Yura Movsisyan.
Ahmed Musa played all 90 minutes for CSKA Moscow as they drew 0-0 away to Rubin Kazan. Spartak lead the table with 10 points from four matches while CSKA are in third position with eight points.
UKRAINE

Dynamo Kiev lost 3-1 to their great rivals, Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday at the Donbass Arena. Dynamo scored first through Younnes Belhanda but the reigning league champions came back and scored three.
Lukman Haruna started the match and lasted all 90 minutes though he got yellow carded in the 45th minute. Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye was introduced into the fray in the 71st minute for Belhanda. Ideye is yet to score in the new season while Haruna scored his first league goal last weekend.
BELGIUM

Imoh Ezekiel helped Standard Liege to beat Lierse 3-0 on Sunday. Ezekiel did not score but assisted one of the three goals for Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, who scored all three goals. The Nigerian’s assist was for the second goal in the 20th minute.
Kim Ojo was on the bench for the duration of Genk’s 4-1 away win at OH Leuven on Sunday while Michael Uchebo was introduced into the fray in the 46th minute for Frederick Boi as Cercle Brugge lost 4-0 at home to defending champions, Anderlecht.
MLS


Obafemi Martins maintained his goal ratio of one every two games as he scored to lead Seattle Sounders 3-0 over Dallas on Saturday evening. The Nigerian opened scoring in the encounter in the eighth minute with a lovely flicked back header.

He could have opened scoring four minutes earlier but his shot was blocked when it was certainly goal bound. Sounders revealed their new signing, Clint Dempsey before the match. ‘Oba’ has now scored seven times in 14 league games in an injury disrupted season.

NORWAY


Leke James scored the fourth goal as Aalesund defeated Honefoss 5-2. The 20-year-old scored in the 35th minute of the match. He has now scored seven goals in 18 matches for the team that are placed third in the Eliteserien League in Norway.
Emmanuel Ekpo and Daniel Chima helped Molde beat Brann 2-0 on Saturday to stay in 11th position.. Former U-23 midfielder, Ekpo has played 14 league games with no goals while Chima has scored six times in 17 appearances.
