Cardiff City Join Hunt For Osaze
Newly promoted Barclays English Premier League club, Cardiff City are believed to be interested in signing unsettled West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie, according to Sky sources.
The 32-year-old has been training with the reserves of West Brom this summer following his attempt to force a move to QPR on the final day of the January transfer window.
This will not be the first time Odemwingie will be linked with a Premier League club as Fulham were touted to be one of the sides interested in giving him an escape route away from the Hawthorns.
Odemwingie also attracted suitors from afar with Dubai club, Al Nasr tabling an £850,000 (N210 million) for his services which was promptly rejected by WBA.
Cardiff manager, Malky Mackay says the Premier League newcomers are hopeful of further strengthening their squad before the end of the transfer window.
"We still have three or four irons in the fire and we have until September 2nd (when the transfer window closes)," said Mackay.
It is now expected that Cardiff will table a formal bid for the controversial Nigerian attacker in the coming days.
