Eto'o Arrives In Stanford Bridge In Blues Colors Of Chelsea

Chelsea have confirm the signing of Samuel Eto'o from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala on a one-year deal.
Jose Mourinho had been in the hunt for a new striker and moved quickly to snap up the former Inter Milan and Barcelona star after giving up on the signing of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Chelsea had two bids rejected for the England international this summer and so Mourinho has turned to his former charge from his days with Inter in Serie A.
Eto'o was an integral part of the Mourinho side that won all four trophies they competed in during the 2011 season and the Cameroonian claimed his former boss was a big part of his decision to make the Stamford Bridge switch.
"It wasn't a hard decision. I saw the qualities Chelsea have, and I was very happy with Jose Mourinho before, so when the opportunity came, I was very happy to take it.," he told the official Chelsea website.
The 32-year-old striker is the second signing Chelsea have made from Anzhi, after confirming a deal for Brazilian playmaker Willian on Wednesday.
The previously big-spending Russian Premier League club have scaled down their operation and are selling off a significant number of their big earners.
Eto'o has a pedigree for prolific scoring at the highest level and will provide the likes of Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku with serious competition for the starting striker role.
