FiFa Launches Three New Facebook Pages

Three new Facebook pages were launched by FIFA yesterday as they look to enhance their social media presence.

The announcement is sure to be well received by users of the social networking site, as the pages will give them the means to improve their communication with others regarding FIFA related topics.
One of the pages, '2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™', is dedicated to covering the build up to the World Cup and then providing coverage of the action during the tournament.
There is also a page named 'FIFA World Cup' which will allow fans to view the history of the competition, as well as providing viewers with a platform on which to share World Cup memories and interact with each other about issues and talking points surrounding the tournament.
The third page, simply entitled 'FIFA', will focus much more on the governing body itself. It aims to give fans an insight into the ins and outs of FIFA, including it's dealings in football development, and will allow it's audience to get an inside look at the organisation, whilst also providing them with the opportunity to engage in FIFA events such as the Ballon D'Or.
Walter De Gregorio, FIFA Director of Communications and Public Affairs, told the official website: “Since FIFA took its first social media steps on Twitter in the build-up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup, more than 4.5 million football fans have been actively engaging with us in six different languages, primarily @fifacom and @fifaworldcup. As a governing body, this is something we’re very proud of."
