Eden Hazard Can Be Chelsea's CR7 This Season
Eden Hazard may have spent just one season with Chelsea but he has made quite an impression.
His opening performances were nothing short of superb and only Juan Mata assisted more goals than the former Lille winger for Chelsea. He drew more fouls than any and he had the most in his bag of tricks in all of the Blues squad.
With Jose Mourinho back in charge, Hazard looks set to play a vital part in the Special One's second spell in charge.
At Madrid, Mourinho had Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria to inflict damage from the wings - Ronaldo of course had freedom to roam inward.
Given Mourinho's preference for lighting fast and technically sound wingers, Hazard will be taking his game to a different dimension next season.
Primarily a left winger, Hazard is comfortable on the right and through the middle as well. Mourinho has already previously stated is admiration for the young Belgian star and agreed that he had plans for Hazard.
In spite of competition from Victor Moses, Andre Schurrle and Kevin De Bruyne, Hazard is more likely to receive Mourinho's favour to dribble his way down the left and cut infield to unleash shots on goal.
Of course Hazard will have to work on his shooting from distance as well as ball retention but his link up with Juan Mata and Oscar especially earned him his place as one of Chelsea's three amigos.
Under Mourinho, I expect Hazard to grow into a player in the mould of Cristiano Ronaldo. And this season would not be too soon to see the growth.
