Jose Mourinho Calm About Chelsea's Bid For Wayne Rooney

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists he remains calm about the club's bid to lure Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to west London before the close of the transfer window, reports the Daily Mail.
The England international has been the subject of intense speculation for much of the summer, with suggestions that Rooney is keen to leave Old Trafford in favour of a move south to the capital.
Chelsea confirmed last week that they made an official offer to Manchester United - believed to be in the region of £22million - but saw that bid swiftly turned down by the reigning Premier League champions.
New Red Devils boss David Moyes has spoken out to clarify that Rooney remains not for sale, but Mourinho is confident that Chelsea still have a chance of sealing the 27-year-old's signature.
"At this moment we have made what you know," explained the Portuguese coach. "That bid which was public and official and after that nothing else.
"But we are calm as we told you that we are calm because we are happy with what we have."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also believed to be monitoring Rooney's ongoing situation at Manchester United, and could yet rival Chelsea for his services ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
