Santi Cazorla Rejects La Liga Return

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has dismissed all speculation linking him with a return to Spain and the La Liga after Atletico Madrid made a cheeky bid for the Spaniard earlier on this summer.
Cazorla, who is yet to return to pre-season training after being involved in the Confederations Cup, has had an impressive debut season in England with The Gunners after they signed him from Spanish outfit Malaga for £16million last summer and his performances have caught the eye of several clubs, including Atletico Madrid.
The La Liga side are in the hunt of strengthening their squad after selling star-asset Radamel Falcao to French side AS Monaco for a whopping £56million and they did initially make an offer of around £18million for Cazorla, but manager Arsene Wenger rejected the offer immediately.
Despite the reports of the offer, the Madrid president revealed that no talks were made between the club and Cazorla, but he didn't deny having interest in the playmaker, but the player himself has made it clear where his future lies.
"Much has been made the subject of Atletico Madrid, but I am very good in London," Cazorla said.
"I have a contract with Arsenal and I start training on Monday
"We’ll see when I come back to La Liga - it is very difficult right now."
The cheeky-chappy, who has set alight the Premier League since joining last season, has also revealed how happy he is for countryman David Villa after he completed his move away from FC Barcelona.
"I’m very happy for him because he’s had a difficult year at Barcelona with the injury, and now he can enjoy football again," Cazorla said.
