Radamel Falcao Report Claims He Is 29, Not 27

AS Monaco’s £50million striker Radamel Falcao is reportedly two years older than he has been claiming.
According to a report on Noticias Uno, the former Porto and Atletico Madrid striker’s date of birth held by FIFA, February 10 1986, is actually incorrect.
A news report on the channel claims the records at one of Falcao’s former primary schools, Colegio San Pedro Claver de Bucaramanga, show his date of birth to be February 10 1984.
This would make him 29 years old rather than 27 and provides an interesting dilemma for his club Monaco.
However, the report also claims Falcao’s father has insisted it is only a mistake and that his son was the age held by FIFA and his club.
£50million is a lot of money for any player and age often has a big impact on the size of transfer fees, what with a player’s sell-on value decreasing with every year, especially in their late 20s.
The Colombia international was hailed as one of the best players in the world last season after scoring 34 goals in 41 games for Atletico Madrid.
Neither Falcao nor Monaco have made any comment about the claims as yet, though it is a story that will warrant some kind of response
