Nigeria's New Kid On The Block

Nigerian-born starlet, Jordon Ibe’s stock has continued to rise at Barclays English Premier League club, Liverpool.
Ibe, who was handed a Reds debut on the final day of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season in May, grasped the opportunity by providing an assist for the winning goal against Queens Park Rangers.
He showed his displays were no flash in the pan as he netted in Liverpool's first pre-season match of 2013/14 at Preston.
Following on the heels of that goalscoring display against Preston were excellent performances against an Indonesia XI last week and Melbourne Victory on Wednesday.
It is widely believed that the 17-year-old will feature in Brendan Rodgers' plans for the 2013/14 football season and Ibe believes his progress has been firm and steady.
"I feel I'm doing okay. I'm trying to learn from the senior players and the new lads that have come in," Ibe told the Liverpool Echo.
Ibe will get his chance with the Reds when the season finally gets underway but at a high-pressure environment like Liverpool, inconsistency will be frowned up by the gaffer; a fact not lost on the Wycombe Wanderers youth system graduate.
"Hopefully I can take it into the new season and stay consistent.
"It was a big boost to make my first-team debut against Queens Park Rangers at Anfield on the final day of last season.
"To play in the Premier League, and on such a big occasion with it being Jamie Carragher's final match before retirement, was a great experience for me.
"I felt really good about it and hopefully I can take that into the new season," he said.
Ibe has represented England at under-18 level but is still eligible to play for Nigeria at senior international level.
